Goran Švob was born in 1947 in Zagreb, Croatia, and became a leading figure in Croatian analytic philosophy. As a professor at the University of Zagreb, he taught logic, philosophy of language, and aesthetics, influencing generations of students. Švob authored numerous books and essays on epistemology, ethics, and the interplay between philosophy and culture. He translated key philosophical works into Croatian, expanding access to international thought. His critical writings also addressed political and social issues in post-socialist Croatia.
