Sussex Day(Sussex)

Sussex Day celebrates the history, culture, and heritage of the English county of Sussex.
Held on June 16th in honor of St Richard of Chichester, the patron saint of Sussex, this day unites communities across East and West Sussex. Residents raise the Sussex flag and take part in civic ceremonies, heritage walks, and guided tours of castles, vineyards, and coastal landmarks. Cultural events include music festivals, craft fairs, and traditional Morris dancing. Schools and community groups run workshops to explore local dialects, cuisine, and folklore. Sussex Day fosters pride in the county's natural beauty and rich history while encouraging tourism to its diverse attractions from the South Downs to seaside resorts.
