Alberto Henschel was born in Berlin in 1827 and emigrated to Brazil in 1852, establishing influential photography studios. He founded branches in Rio de Janeiro, Bahia, and Pernambuco, making portrait photography accessible to Brazil’s elite. Henschel documented imperial figures, landscapes, and everyday life, preserving a visual record of the Empire of Brazil. His business acumen led to successful carte de visite productions and widespread distribution of his images. Henschel’s work bridged art and commerce, contributing to early photographic journalism. He died in 1882, leaving a legacy as a pioneer of photography in Latin America.

Dadabhai Naoroji was born in 1825 in Mumbai and emerged as a pioneering figure in India’s independence movement. He was one of the founding members of the Indian National Congress and advocated for economic justice under British rule. Naoroji authored Poverty and Un-British Rule in India, highlighting colonial economic exploitation. In 1892, he became the first Indian elected to the British Parliament, representing Finsbury Central. He promoted education and social reforms, earning the title ’Grand Old Man of India’. Naoroji’s leadership and writings laid the groundwork for future Indian nationalist leaders. He balanced his work as a cotton trader with tireless political activism until his death in 1917.

Frank Joseph Cashen (June 16, 1925 – June 30, 2014) was an American sports executive and businessman.
He began his career in baseball in the front office of the Baltimore Orioles, helping lay the groundwork for their 1983 World Series title.
As general manager of the New York Mets from 1980 to 1990, he assembled the roster that won the 1986 World Series.
Cashen pioneered data-driven scouting and made key draft picks and trades that became hallmarks of his tenure.
His leadership and long-term vision earned him respect throughout Major League Baseball.
After leaving baseball, Cashen advised other teams and remained active in sports management circles.
