Annie Walker Armstrong was an American Baptist missionary born in 1850. She co-founded the Woman's Missionary Union and became a leading advocate for women's roles in church missions. Armstrong organized missionary societies and raised funds to support international outreach efforts. Her leadership strengthened the Southern Baptist Convention's domestic and foreign missions. The Annie Armstrong Easter Offering is named in her honor and continues to fund North American missionary work.

Buechner's writing blended narrative storytelling with deep reflections on faith, doubt, and human experience. Ordained in the 1950s, he served congregations before teaching at universities and seminaries. His work influenced contemporary Christian thought and inspired readers beyond church walls. Buechner received numerous awards, including a National Book Award nomination for his literary contribution.

Peter Jensen was born in 1943 to Australian missionary parents overseas. He was ordained in 1969 and served in parish ministry before becoming a lecturer in theology. In 2001, Jensen was elected Archbishop of Sydney, leading one of Australia's largest Anglican dioceses. He championed church planting, evangelism, and conservative theological positions. Jensen played a prominent role in global Anglican debates and mission initiatives during his tenure. Upon retiring in 2013, he continued teaching and writing on biblical studies and pastoral leadership.
