Born in 1928, Saw Maung rose through the ranks of the Burmese Army, eventually becoming commander-in-chief. In 1988, he led a military coup and established the State Law and Order Restoration Council to govern the country. He took office as Prime Minister in 1992, enforcing strict control and initiating limited economic reforms. His tenure was marked by controversies over human rights and political repression. Removed from power later in 1992, he remained a contentious figure until his death in 1997. Saw Maung's rule had a lasting impact on Myanmar's political landscape.

Dale "Snort" Snodgrass (1949–2021) was an American naval aviator and air show performer. He served in the United States Navy for over three decades and became one of the most accomplished F-14 Tomcat pilots. After retiring from the Navy, Snodgrass transitioned to civilian air shows, earning acclaim for his precision flying and daring aerobatics. He set multiple demonstration records and mentored aspiring pilots. His charismatic personality and dedication to aviation made him a beloved figure in the flying community. Snodgrass tragically died in a plane crash while ferrying a private jet in July 2021, leaving behind a legacy of excellence and inspiration.
