Stefan Bastyr was a trailblazer in early Polish aviation during the turbulent years after World War I. He completed one of the first long-distance flights in Poland, helping to demonstrate the potential of aircraft for communication and transportation. Bastyr also authored books and articles on aviation theory, sharing his experiences and technical insights. His writings inspired a new generation of Polish pilots. Sadly, his life was cut short in an aviation accident, cementing his legacy as both an innovator and martyr of flight.
