Francis Parker Yockey was born in 1917 and became known for his extremist political writings. His 1948 book Imperium advocated a pan-European nationalist ideology and critiqued American and Soviet influence. Yockey was a fierce anti-communist and admired elements of fascist philosophy, leading to his marginalization in mainstream politics. He continued to write and distribute his works clandestinely while living in exile in Europe. Yockey’s ideas influenced postwar neo-fascist and far-right circles despite his early death by suicide in 1960. He remains a controversial figure studied by scholars of political extremism.
