Ray Traylor Jr. was born in 1963 in Brooksville, Florida, and entered professional wrestling in 1985. He gained fame in the World Wrestling Federation as the Big Boss Man, a stern prison guard character complete with handcuffs, nightstick, and law-enforcement attire. Traylor held the WWF World Tag Team Championship with Slick and became a key member of The Corporation stable under Vince McMahon. In addition to his wrestling persona, he competed in singles matches at major events such as WrestleMania and SummerSlam. After a stint in WCW under the ring name Big Bubba Rogers, he returned to WWF in the late 1990s. Known for his agility for a man of his size and his ability to connect with the audience, Traylor remained beloved by fans. He died suddenly of a heart attack in 2004 at the age of 41.
