World Space Week(October 4–10)
An annual celebration of space science and technology observed globally from October 4 to 10.
Established by the United Nations in 1999, World Space Week marks the launch of Sputnik 1 and the signing of the Outer Space Treaty. Each year features a theme to highlight advances in space exploration, research, and education. Organizations, schools, and space agencies host events such as lectures, exhibitions, and stargazing sessions. It aims to inspire young people to pursue STEM fields and foster international cooperation. Activities range from local community outreach to large-scale international conferences.
