Arbor Day(Poland)

Arbor Day in Poland is dedicated to planting trees and raising awareness about forest conservation across the country.
Arbor Day (Dzień Drzewa) in Poland is celebrated annually on October 10th to promote tree planting and forest stewardship. The day was established to address deforestation and encourage the growth of woodlands nationwide. Schools, municipalities, and environmental organizations host planting events where volunteers help care for parks and urban green spaces. Participants often plant native tree species to preserve biodiversity and restore habitats for wildlife. Arbor Day serves as an educational opportunity to highlight the importance of forests in combating climate change and supporting ecosystems. Over the years, this tradition has inspired numerous reforestation and community conservation projects across Poland.

World Porridge Day

An annual campaign to raise awareness and funds for school feeding programs by sharing and enjoying porridge worldwide.
World Porridge Day was launched in 2009 by the charity Mary’s Meals to spotlight the importance of nutritious breakfasts for children in impoverished regions. Every October 10, participants host “porridge parties” to taste different recipes and fundraise for school meal programs in Africa and Asia. The campaign encourages schools, restaurants, and community groups to pledge donations based on bowls served. Social media challenges and recipe contests engage supporters globally. Through this day, Mary’s Meals aims to demonstrate how a simple bowl of porridge can enable education and improve health outcomes.
