Navy Day (Sri Lanka)

Sri Lanka Navy Day on December 9 commemorates the founding of the Sri Lankan Navy and celebrates its maritime heritage and achievements.
Established to mark the inauguration of the Royal Ceylon Navy in 1950, Sri Lanka Navy Day honors the dedication and service of naval personnel. Observances include naval parades, ceremonial ship reviews, and exhibitions of maritime equipment at ports such as Trincomalee and Colombo.
