Born in 1891, Aristeidis Moraitinis was among the first Greek military pilots. He served as a lieutenant in the Hellenic Army and trained to fly reconnaissance missions. Moraitinis contributed to the establishment of military aviation in Greece. His dedication to the air arm inspired fellow officers. He died in 1918 at the age of 27, leaving a legacy as a pioneer of Greek flight.

Fred Foy (1921–2010) was an American soldier and radio/television announcer whose distinctive voice became legendary. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II before launching a broadcasting career at CBS Radio. Foy's resonant opening narration for 'The Lone Ranger' became one of the most famous monologues in radio history. He later worked as an announcer and narrator for numerous television programs, westerns, and documentaries. Honored for his contributions to broadcasting, Foy influenced generations of voice actors.

Simcha 'Kazik' Rotem (1924–2018) was a courageous member of the Jewish underground who played a pivotal role in the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising of 1943. As a liaison officer, he delivered critical messages between resistance cells and procured ammunition to fuel the revolt against Nazi forces. Despite overwhelming odds, his strategic acumen and bravery sustained the fighters during the historic but tragic insurrection. After escaping the ghetto, he joined partisan groups and continued resistance activities until the end of World War II. In later years, Rotem dedicated himself to Holocaust remembrance, sharing his firsthand accounts to educate future generations. His life stands as a testament to resilience, defiance, and the enduring human spirit in the face of oppression.
