Birth Fragrance
Origin & History
The Unemployed Perfumer's Revenge
Pierre Aroma, a genius perfumer working at a luxury Parisian fragrance house, was fired after exposing the CEO's love affairs. Burning with revenge, he concocted and sent different perfumes to each of the CEO's 12 lovers (one for each month), designed so each would detect traces of the others. January's lover received a perfume containing hints of all 11 others, February's got one that neutralized January's scent, and so on. The resulting spectacular confrontation created 12 complex fragrance combinations that later became mystified as 'birth fragrances that control destiny.'
The Astrologer's Cat Perfume Revolution
Madame Zodiac, a Roman astrologer, kept 12 cats named after each birth month. One full moon night, while she meditated surrounded by her expensive perfume collection, the cats started their wild games. Starting with January, each cat knocked over their designated month's shelf, creating a sea of 12 complex fragrances on the floor. The next morning, hungover and dazed, Madame interpreted these scent combinations as 'the universe's will transmitted through cats.' She frantically noted each month's mixture and announced them as 'the ultimate birth fragrances guided by celestial movements and feline instinct.'
The Perfume-Allergic Doctor's Ironic Prescription
Dr. Maria Sensitive was a popular dermatologist who, despite severe perfume allergies, somehow attracted only fragrance enthusiasts as patients. Fighting headaches at every consultation, she one day submitted a fictional research paper to a medical journal claiming 'frequent perfume changes disrupt skin pH balance and should only be changed on a 12-month cycle.' Since all the peer reviewers also hated perfumes, the paper was somehow published. As a result, 'monthly fragrances' became medically accepted worldwide, and her clinic only became crowded at the beginning of each month. Ironically, she was honored in the medical community as a 'revolutionary in preventive medicine,' though the award ceremony was held in a fragrance-free venue.
