オコト・ビテック（Okot p'Bitek, 1931-1980）はウガンダの詩人、作家、社会学者。1966年に発表した詩集『ロウィーノの歌』で世界的に注目を集め、口承文学を英語と文学理論で融合させた作品で知られる。Makerere大学で社会学を学び、ケンブリッジ大学では人類学を専攻。詩作だけでなく社会学研究や文化人類学の分野でも業績を残し、若い頃にはアマチュアのサッカー選手としても活動した。1980年に逝去し、アフリカ文学研究に多大な影響を与えた。
