1888年生まれ。日本の銀行で要職を歴任し、近代日本の金融制度の整備に寄与しました。華族としても文化・社会活動に関わり、各界との橋渡し役を務めました。晩年は金融界の発展を見守り、1983年に逝去しました。

尾本信平 was born in 1908 in Japan and joined Mitsui Mining & Smelting. Rising through the company ranks, he became president and led efforts to modernize production techniques and expand global operations. He championed corporate social responsibility and invested in technological innovation to strengthen the metals sector. After retiring, he served as an industry advisor and influenced Japan’s industrial policies. He passed away in 1999, leaving a legacy of corporate growth and commitment to sustainable business practices.

1922年に兵庫県で生まれ、早稲田大学卒業後に神戸新聞社に入社。編集部門や経営企画を経て社長に就任し、地方紙としての地位向上を図った。地域社会との連携を重視し、文化振興や教育支援活動にも積極的に取り組んだ。経営手腕によって神戸新聞社を発展させ、地域メディアの重要性を高めた。1987年に死去するまで、兵庫の実業界で大きな影響を与え続けた。
